Welcome to the official website of the McHenry County Composite Squadron (IL-263).  Here you will find information to help you make an informed decision regarding a membership, or if you are already a member, you will find the assistance you need to progress in your career with CAP.

Civil Air Patrol, the Official Auxiliary of the United States Air Force, has three Congressionally mandated roles:  Cadet Programs, Aerospace Education and Emergency Services; since 1982, Squadron IL-263 has provided these services to our community.

The CAP Cadet Program is activity based and educational in nature. It promotes physical and moral leadership.  It is supervised by adults, but run by cadets. It is unique from other youth programs as it focuses on aerospace, is an Auxiliary of the Air Force, and performs a vital service through aircraft search and rescue.
